MIXED FARMING:

It is a type of Organic farming wherein crop husbandry activity is combined with allied activities such as animal husbandry sheep rearing, piggery, poultry, duck rearing, fisheries in such a manner that each one is supportive of and dependent on other. The organic wastes of one activity serves as input of other activity. Ex: in cattle rearing crop husbandry, dung from animals is used to prepare manure for crops. Paddy cultivation can be combined with fisheries, which may be fed by faeces of ducks reared in nearby region. Mixed farming is the basis of farming system approach wherein complementary and supplementary interactions are strengthened to establish an efficient and integrated unit of many enterprises.

FREE RANGE FARMING:
